Frank Senanu Lawstand Also Popularly Known as Agbeshie in the music industry from the Volta Region of Ghana.

Agbeshie was born on the 14 of September 1987 is a musician and one of the most influential entertainers on the rise in Ghana, West Africa. Born and raised by both parents at Banana Inn, Accra, he started creating his composition at a very tender age, and by the age of 17, he had already started pursuing his career as a recording artiste exploring Hiplife, HipHop, and Afrobeats – a well-recognized kind of music in Africa.

Agbeshie is the icon of the ‘New Volta’ with his peri-urban looks, versatile style, huge fan base, and high-energy performances.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Frank Lawstand is also known by the stage name Agbeshie which means “LIFE”. He hails from the Volta Region of Ghana. Born and bred by Mr. Michael Lawstand and Miss Charlotte Ayoko Mensah in the Volta Region of Ghana. He is the last born out of six wonderful siblings. He had his basic school at Salvation Army School in the Volta region and continued to New Century Vocational Institute at Accra in Dansoman.

MUSIC CAREER

“I see my talent in me. I discovered myself as far as my mother’s womb” Agbeshie said so. Father High Skull helped him nurture his talent. He listens to a few Ghanaian rappers like Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba, Reggie Rockstone, Ayigbe Edem, Sarkodie, and many more. He claims Jah Rule has been his inspiration and mentor. He won the 2018 Artist of the Year in the Volta Music Awards and also got nominated for 2109 VGMA for the Artiste of the Year. All media houses across the length and breadth of the country have hosted him in their studios. Recently he toured the United Kingdom with his hit single “Wrowroho”.

His passion for music and the desire to do more has landed him features with Stonebwoy, Black T( Togo), Edem, Shatta Wale, Etane( Togo), Samini, Tinny, etc. He currently holds over ten (10) singles including ‘’Wrowroho” featuring Medikal undoubtedly one of the biggest songs in 2019.

Agbeshie is an underrated Ghanaian artist who blew the minds of Ghanaians by making his impression on the international airwaves. His powerful soulful rap songs deal with personal, at times taboo issues: for instance, the 2019 single ‘God’ alludes to the artist’s struggles and depression. He won the Best Artist of the Year in the Volta Region Music Awards and was also nominated for the same category in the Ghana Music Awards (GMA).

He currently trades his career as an independent artist after years of work with One Fame Entertainment. Beyond music, Agbeshie is also loves cooking, and acting and still working tremendously to take his craft to Africa and other parts of the world.

He has over the years mounted major platforms in Ghana and beyond. Popular among them are Mr Eazi’s Detty Rave Concert, Saminifest, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards nominees jam, Chalewote Streets Carnival, Dansoman Homecoming Ghana meets Naija, Shatta Wale Reign Concert, and the just-ended Ghana Music Awards in the UK.
