Home Stars FC is a Ghanaian football club based in Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana. The club competes in the Ghana Division One League and has become known as an ambitious lower-division side with aspirations of reaching the Ghana Premier League. The team gained wider attention after qualifying for the Division One League from the Volta Regional Division Two League. Following that achievement in 2023, the club’s management dissolved and restructured the squad and technical team as part of a long-term plan to strengthen the club for higher-level competition. Home Stars FC plays its home matches at the Ho Sports Stadium. During part of the 2025/26 season, the club temporarily relocated to Hohoe because the Ho Sports Stadium pitch was being renovated after hosting National Farmers’ Day celebrations. The team later returned to Ho and celebrated the occasion with a home victory over Great Ambition FC. In recent years, the club has built a reputation as a competitive and fearless side in cup competitions. Home Stars FC notably defeated Legon Cities in the MTN FA Cup and later faced Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak SC in the Round of 32. Although Hearts of Oak won the tie 3–0, Home Stars earned praise for their fighting spirit and underdog mentality. Akatsi All Stars Fc is a Ghanaian football club based in Akatsi, Volta Region. On the 12th of September 2021, Akatsi All-Stars crowned the champions of Volta Division2 Middle League and promoted to Ghana division one league zone 3. Our Home ground is AKATSICO park and we are the face of Akatsi. A football club is different from any other business entity. The stakeholders, in this case are the fans. The fans’ investment is their support, while their return comes in the form of the emotional gratification all football fans desire, be it through chasing promotion, surviving relegation or a cup run. In order to guarantee this return, all a football club needs to do is exist. While sounding straightforward, AKATSI ALL STARS are one of a number of clubs whose very existence has been threatened, and whose future is only guaranteed by the goodwill or otherwise of the judiciary. Without the existence of the club, the fans will not receive the return their investment deserves. AKATSI ALL STARS F.C, MOVED FROM AKATSI RC PARK TO AKATSICO PARK WAS BORN OUT OF AMBITION AND NECESSITY. WITHOUT THESE QUALITIES, THE CLUB MAY NOT EVEN HAVE SURVIVED. This is the time for Akatsi All Stars FC. This is a big call. Cutting from the top will help ensure each club remains competitive in play. The senior teams, rightly or wrongly, are the general measure for club success. We had to contend with the lack of light, low-lying branches, inconveniently placed trees and I couldn’t help but think of the contrast in training conditions between the Gold and its opposition.
