KETU NORTH, VOLTA REGION β Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Edem Agbana, has announced a scholarship support initiative for newly admitted medical students from the constituency who have secured admission to public universities in Ghana.
Under the initiative, eligible students pursuing Medicine will receive scholarship support covering a minimum of 50 per cent of their tuition fees.
The support is targeted specifically at students from Ketu North who have gained fresh admission to study Medicine at any public university in Ghana through the Regular Admission stream.
Who qualifies?
According to the announcement, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a constituent of Ketu North.
- Be a freshly admitted student pursuing Medicine.
- Have gained admission to a public university in Ghana.
- Have been admitted through the Regular Admission stream.
How to apply
Qualified students have been asked to submit their details via WhatsApp only for verification and consideration.

Applicants are required to send their admission letters and contact details through WhatsApp. The announcement specifically states that no phone calls should be made to the number.
The scholarship team will subsequently contact applicants, verify their admission details and, following confirmation, process the fee support.
According to the announcement, the scholarship team intends to verify and pay the fees within 48 hours of confirmation.
The initiative is expected to provide financial assistance to newly admitted medical students from Ketu North as they begin their university education.
