Volta Regional Minister Warns Contractors Against Project Delays

Ho, Volta Region – The Volta Regional Minister has issued a strong warning to contractors executing government-funded projects across the region, stressing that delays and poor workmanship will not be tolerated.

According to the Minister, contractors must strictly adhere to agreed project timelines and deliver quality work that meets the required standards. He emphasized that government infrastructure projects are critical to improving the lives of residents and should not be unnecessarily delayed.

The Minister noted that any contractor who fails to perform according to the terms of their contract risks facing sanctions, including the possible termination of their contract. He added that the Regional Coordinating Council will continue to monitor ongoing projects to ensure value for money and timely completion.

“We expect every contractor to deliver quality work within the agreed schedule. Delays without justification will not be accepted, and appropriate action will be taken where necessary,” the Minister stated.

The warning comes as the government continues to invest in key infrastructure projects across the Volta Region, including roads, schools, healthcare facilities, and other public amenities aimed at accelerating socio-economic development.

Residents have welcomed the Minister’s stance, expressing hope that stricter supervision will lead to faster completion of stalled projects and improved accountability among contractors.

The Regional Coordinating Council has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all government-funded projects are executed efficiently, transparently, and in the best interest of the people of the Volta Region.
