Ave Dakpa, Volta Region β President John Dramani Mahama has officially commissioned the newly completed Akatsi North District Police Headquarters at Ave Dakpa, marking a significant milestone in efforts to strengthen security infrastructure in the Volta Region.
The commissioning formed part of the President’s Resetting Ghana Tour of the Volta Region, where he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving public safety and expanding access to essential government services.
Addressing residents, traditional leaders, and members of the Ghana Police Service, President Mahama urged officers who will occupy the new facility to maintain the building and ensure it serves the people of Akatsi North for many years.
The modern police headquarters is expected to improve policing, enhance emergency response, and create a better working environment for security personnel. Residents are optimistic that the new facility will contribute to reducing crime and strengthening law enforcement across the district.
Community leaders welcomed the commissioning, describing it as a major investment that will boost peace, security, and socio-economic development in the area.
The Akatsi North District Police Headquarters is one of several infrastructure projects being undertaken to improve public service delivery and support local development across the Volta Region.
