Residents and businesses in parts of the Volta Region may experience temporary interruptions in electricity supply as the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) undertakes planned maintenance works on its distribution network.
The exercise forms part of ECGβs routine efforts to improve the reliability and efficiency of power supply across the country. The company has explained that such maintenance activities are necessary to allow engineers to upgrade infrastructure, fix network challenges, and enhance service delivery to customers.
According to information from ECG, some communities in the Volta Region have been scheduled for power interruptions during the maintenance period. Previous maintenance schedules in the region have affected areas including parts of Akatsi and surrounding communities, with outages lasting several hours to allow technical teams to complete the required works.

ECG has urged affected customers to make the necessary preparations and use electricity responsibly while the exercise is ongoing. The company also apologised for any inconvenience caused and assured residents that power supply would be restored immediately after the completion of the maintenance works.
Customers who experience unexpected faults or prolonged outages have been encouraged to report them through ECGβs official customer support channels for prompt attention.
The power company continues to appeal for public understanding as it carries out network improvement projects aimed at providing a more stable and dependable electricity supply in the Volta Region.
