HOHOE, VOLTA REGION — Preparations are expected to intensify for the 2026 edition of Gbidukorza, the major cultural and unification festival celebrated by the people of the Gbi Traditional Areas of Hohoe and Peki in the Volta Region.
Gbidukorza brings together the people of the Hohoe and Peki traditional areas to celebrate their shared history, cultural identity and unity. The festival has become an important occasion for traditional leaders, residents, families and visitors to reconnect and promote the heritage of the Gbi people.
The festival is traditionally associated with colourful cultural displays, traditional music and dancing, processions, durbars of chiefs and other activities that showcase the history and traditions of the Gbi people.
