All roads will lead to the CEPS Academy in Kpetoe tomorrow as the people of Agortime prepare to celebrate the 31st Anniversary of the Agortime Kente Festival (Agbamevɔ Za) 2026.
The annual festival, which has become one of the most important cultural celebrations in the Volta Region, will bring together traditional leaders, residents, tourists, and culture enthusiasts to celebrate the rich heritage of the Agortime people.
Visitors can expect a spectacular display of the world-famous Agortime Kente, alongside traditional music, cultural performances, drumming, dancing, processions, and other colorful activities that showcase the unique identity of the people of Agortime.
The festival also serves as an important platform for promoting local tourism, preserving cultural traditions, and supporting the talented artisans whose craftsmanship has made Agortime Kente recognized both nationally and internationally.
Organizers are encouraging residents and visitors from across Ghana to participate in this year’s celebration and experience the beauty, creativity, and cultural pride that define the Agortime people.
