Ho, Volta Region β September 4, 2026: The Volta Regional branch of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has opened preparations for the 4th Regional Media Awards, giving journalists and media practitioners across the region an opportunity to be recognised for outstanding work.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Ho, the Volta Regional capital.
According to the Volta Regional GJA, entries for the awards will officially open on Monday, September 7, 2026, with journalists expected to submit their best works for consideration.
The return of the regional awards is significant for journalists in the region, as the event has reportedly been on hold for more than five years.
Recognising Excellence in Journalism
The regional media awards are intended to celebrate journalists and media organisations that have made notable contributions to journalism and public-interest reporting in the Volta Region.
