The 7th edition of the Volta Media Excellence Awards (VMEA 2026) has entered its next stage following the close of public voting on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The awards, organised by Edyβs Promotions, brought together media professionals, presenters, bloggers, content creators, broadcasters and other personalities contributing to the growth of the media industry in the Volta Region.
Voting was conducted across 22 award categories, with the 2026 edition featuring 90 nominees competing for recognition in various areas of the media industry.

- Radio Sports Show Host of the Year
- Regional Correspondent/Reporter of the Year
- Social Media Influencer of the Year
- Vlogger of the Year
- VMEAs Personality of the Year

Public participation formed an important part of the awards process, with votes cast through the official online voting platform at a cost of GHΒ’1 per vote.
The final days of voting saw nominees and their supporters intensify campaigns across social media platforms, encouraging members of the public to support their preferred media personalities and organisations.
Among the nominees was Keta Vibes, which was nominated in the Social Media Influencer of the Year category. Other nominees also used Facebook, Instagram and other platforms to mobilise support ahead of the August 25 deadline.
With voting now closed, attention is expected to turn to the verification, collation and announcement of the results.
