Volta Region U-19 Team Prepares for MTN Elite U-19 Championship

VOLTA REGION, GHANA — August 19, 2026: The Volta Region is stepping up preparations for the 2026 MTN Elite U-19 Championship, as young football talents from the region get ready to represent Volta at the national competition.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 24 to September 4, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

Volta Region has been drawn into Group A, alongside defending champions Eastern Region, Ashanti Region, Western Region and Upper West Region, setting up a challenging group-stage campaign for the young players.

Volta to face Ashanti Region

Volta Region’s campaign is set to begin with a group-stage encounter against Ashanti Region.

The fixture will provide an early test for the Volta side as they seek to make a strong start and advance to the later stages of the competition.
